Event Infrastructure: Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc

Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (MISP) recently hosted a Showcase and Demonstrator event at their facility in Dundee. QUICKBLOCK were asked to provide event furniture which included a small stage, information points and seating arrangements.

The Event

Former Michelin Tyres factory, the MSIP Showcase and Demonstrator event hosted companies and organisations from sustainable backgrounds, mostly in the mobility sector, where they highlighted how their solutions contributed to a more sustainable future. QUICKBLOCK also had their own stand at the show, made from the product, to demonstrate to the attendees how adaptable the product is for events and other purposes.

The Furniture

The furniture provided to the event was a great success and was used by many. The social zones were made up of large couches and coffee tables to allow networking between the exhibitors and visitors. The stage was also used for some speeches and for photo opportunities which was also a great success. With COVID-19 being an important factor at large events such as this, due to the material of the blocks, they were easily wiped down with disinfectant throughout the event which is harder to do with other furniture pieces.

The beauty of QUICKBLOCK is that it can be quickly assembled for events such as these then dismantled to be flat packed and stored away easily or used for an entirely different purpose. The team at QUICKBLOCK thoroughly enjoyed the event hosted by MSIP and hope to collaborate with them in the future at further events held at the Innovation Parc.

We were delighted to be able to use QUICKBLOCK as temporary furniture at our Demonstrator & Showcase Event. Everything looked great and added a unique touch to the space. The items were assembled so quickly and easily. It’s great for us to be able to showcase the product of one of our Accelerator alumni too!
