Business Development Representative

We are QuickBlock, our product is a flat-packed, 100% recycled plastic, building block. The blocks are easy to assemble and disassemble at speed with a simple 'Lego' style interlocking method with no need for additional or specialist materials or tools required. 

 

This is an exciting year for QuickBlock, we have just launched the product to market and are developing our products for new, exciting applications. We are bringing a new and exciting technology where traditional methods have not changed for centuries! However, the simplicity of our product sparks people’s imagination and there is a great opportunity to disrupt the market.

The Role

 

We’re looking for entrepreneurial, driven Sales Executives to join our team and play an integral role in helping us hit our growth goals in 2021. You’ll be working at the client facing of the business, taking ownership of building our client base in specific sectors and markets. This can be anything from large engineering and public sector clients to farmers, agriculture business and even DIY enthusiasts!

Whilst we’ve got playbooks to get you started, you’ll be using plenty of your own creativity and tenacity to find the best way to open up new clients and markets. 

 

We are looking for someone with some sales experience who is creative and up for a challenge. This is initially a 3-month contract; however, we envisage this role could develop into a longer-term role dependent on results.

 

As a fast growing start-up we’re constantly learning and evolving ourselves, and will look to you to do the same.
 

  1. Be entrepreneurial in your approach to business development and identify smart channels to market.

  2. Contact new customers in person and by telephone, build your own pipeline and generate sales (note that most of the prospecting in the short term will be made by email / phone due to COVID restrictions)

  3. Educate the market, generate awareness, challenge perceptions.

  4. Be an enthusiastic expert on QuickBlock and turn your prospects into happy customers.

  5. Manage your own sales pipeline and the CRM tools that we provide 

  6. Contribute creatively to the QuickBlock marketing plans and activity

 

Who are we looking for?
 

Here are the personal traits and experience we’re looking for:
 

  • Quick learner, value-driven, highly inquisitive

  • Energetic, enthusiastic with a strong desire to always improve

  • High acumen for and desire to learn sales

  • Sales experience

  • Strong record of success in whatever you have done

  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
     

Whilst not essential, the following will certainly help:
 

  • Degree educated

  • Background or knowledge of target markets

  • Call centre experience

  • CRM experience

  • Equivalent salary range £20,000-25,000 dependant on experience (note, the first three months will be on a day-rate contractor basis)
